In this blog post, we explore the use of **sentiment analysis** to assess emotional intent of words within the IATF resolutions. This is in line with our project on the use of text analysis and topic modelling techniques for analysis of policies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines.

We developed `covidphtext`, an R package that facilitates creation and structuring of text data from the resolutions issued by the Philippine Inter-agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
